Moving up

Yea, so, Ellis "graduated" from playgroup to preschool on Tuesday. His last in that classroom is tomorrow. And then there's a long break until school starts sometime in Sept, when he'll be with new teachers. Big stuff. The playgroup has been so awesome. The teachers were fantastic and skilled in their execution of a bilingual classroom. E is a better speaker and signer!

They had a nice day for parents and grandparents. A slideshow of the year. Gifts for the kids, including a nursery school diploma. HA! I'm dying over that one. We mingled in their classroom. Always a great opportunity to sign with adults. I found out that one of E's good buddies is moving to Maryland with his family. It makes me so sad. His buddy is deaf of deaf of deaf. Third generation Deaf (as far as I know). I guess he was E's first Deaf friend. That's why he's at PSD, for those friendships. Ah well. Maybe they'll meet up again later in life. I was sad, because we'll miss his birthday party and one last chance for the boys to play together due to our vacation next week.
